Ever heard of a man by the name of Rinehard/Reinhard/Rienhard Bonnke? (I have found three diff spellings of his name and have yet been unable to work out which one is correct) I hadn't heard of him,
Rinehard Bonnke is the man who accurately predicted the arrival of of the Lord Maitreya in Nairobi, Kenya several years ago and Rinehard supported this man and he called Lord Maitreya 'the Christ'.
Well firstly, where did Reinhard Bonnke come from? What is his background?
He was the son of a preacher, gave his life to the Lord when he was nine, felt the call on his life by God even before he was a teenager. Reinhard attended Bible College in Whales and became a pastor in Germany for seven years and then moved to missionary work in Africa. It was in Africa in the small mountain kingdom of Lesotho that he claims God gave him the vision of Africa washed in the precious blood of Jesus. Reinhard believed it was his mission to reach the people from Cape Town to Cairo, from Dakar to Djibouti with the message of God.
He mostly preached from tents but by 1984 he needed a bigger mobile building and commissioned the building of the biggest mobile construction…a tent capable of holding 34’000 people. It has now been over thirty years since Reinhard Bonnke founded the international ministry of Christ for all Nations (CfaN), which currently has offices in the United States, Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, Africa, Singapore, and South America. Reinhard Bonnke is also noted for hosting inspirational ‘Fire Conferences’, some with over 80,000 people in attendance.
Reinhard Bonnke claims that a dead man was resurrected at one of his services, the man’s name is Daniel Ekechuk. Daniel claims that two angels came and took him away and showed him Heaven and then Hell. According to Nnga Ekechuk, Daniel’s wife, God told her that the anointing carried by Reinhard Bonnke was strong enough to raise her husband from the death, so she took his coffin to the service where Reinhard was peddling his wares (for wont of a better term). Thus, Daniel Ekechuk was raised from the dead three days after he was pronounced dead.
In explaining why he was allowed to come back from the dead Daniel said, "I was also told that I was brought back to earth because of the anointing resting of Reinhard Bonnke’s ministry."
Well, who is going to argue with that? Oops, I will.
Now let me be absolutely clear here, I am not saying that God couldn't or wouldn't raise someone from the dead, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE IN GOD. What I AM saying is that I do NOT believe that God raised Daniel Ekechuk from the dead and further to that, I do NOT believe that God would rasie a man from the dead to come back to warn anyone of anything, remember, this walk with God is based on FAITH not on SEEING! If God DID raise someone from the dead, I seriously doubt that the person would have conversed with God, angels or experienced anything at all whilst dead, remember, the bible clearly tells us that the dead know nothing of things of the earth or even of God because they sleep,
Ec 9.5-6 "For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing, they have no further reward and even the memory of them is forgotten. Their love, their hate and their jealousy have long since vanished, never again will they have a part in anything that happens under the sun."
For God to have raised Daniel Ekechuk from the dead, HE would have had to have had a change of mind on what was written according to HIS word, and we know that THAT did not happen as, "God is the same yesterday, today, and forever." (Hebrews 13:8). I also do NOT believe that God would do ANYTHING to further the cause of Reinhard Bonnke or others of his ilk. God's plan was always to HELP us, to SAVE us, NOT TO HELP SCOUNDRELS HOODWINK US!
But back to Daniel, because there are more seriously anti-biblical things going on here, as well as a few porkies (tall tales) to boot, many of them, in fact, I shall mention but a few.
Daniel was not in fact dead for three days and then resurrected, it was only two…you see he died on the Friday and was raised from the dead on Sunday…I’m not good at math, but by my count, that is only two, not three days claimed by Reinhard, Hinn and Co.
Now, Reinhard tried to equate what had happened to Daniel with what happened to the rich man and Lazarus. Well firstly, the rich man (realising that Lazarus was of no help to him) asked that a dead man be sent back to warn his relatives and friends and the answer given was a definitive NO. If the answer was no then, then it is still no now, I mean God’s word is unchanging, his ways are unchanging. If He had never agreed to do this, then why would he do it now for Reinhard Bonnke of all people? God knew that even sending a dead man back from hell would not convince people to believe, that they would still turn away, that is why he did not do it, and God’s word doesn’t say one thing one day and then the complete opposite the next. People have said, "Oh but what about all those other people in the bible who saw wonders of God,?" well let me put it this way...THEY WERE STILL LIVING! (NOT to be confused with Mary K. Baxter's Divine Revelation of Heaven and Divine Revelation of Hell, those are a whole other issue, into which I shall delve on another page in the future.)
Always remember, if it does not line up scripturally then it is counterfeit, it is THAT SIMPLE! Always check it out, always try to see if they have put a spin on God's word to make it say something that it didn't.
Again, I do not doubt or argue the fact that Daniel Ekechuk was raised from the dead, he probably was, however it had nothing at all to do with God, it was a counterfeit, probably demonic/witchcraft in origin, and the only other thing that comes to mind right now is the following scripture, Matt 11:24 "For there shall arise false christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."
BONNKE: "An angel took him to show him Paradise. He showed him the mansions that are waiting for the saints. And he showed him HELL. He saw the people in HELL. He said one shouted to him, 'I was a pastor and I stole money. Help me to return the money.' He said it was so frightening to him that the angel turned to him and said, 'The prayer of the rich man in Luke 16 will now be fulfilled, and you will be sent back to earth as a last warning to this generation." [end of quote]
The next six understandings/truths have clearly been forgotten by Reinhard Bonnke over the years.
1. God cannot be placated by false conversions.
2. God has a standard of righteousness through Jesus Christ that is not being preached
3. Reinhard (and teachers of his ilk) are unaware of their own condemnation.
4. Our imagination about God cannot save us.
5. False doctrine hinders faith, it does not assist faith.
6. "God is the same yesterday, today, and forever." (Hebrews 13:8).
AND
Duet 18:10-12 "There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD ..."

NEVER FORGET...If the pastors stand condemned before God for the message that they have preached, so also do those who take on the yoke of that message.
AND
They don't just TAKE your money, they give you the FALSE MESSAGE of why your faith should enter into the giving. This makes you a VICTIM TWICE.
Reinhard Bonnke has the reputation of holding massive crusades in African countries, according to Bonnke crowds ranging from 250,000 to one million are attending his meetings, and hundreds of thousands are saved and fill the printed card. Oddly enough in August 2002 this little pearl of truth came to see the light of day: "Hi, I read with great interest the figure given for the number of people saved. From what I have heard from my brother Eho who is à member of the church that organized the crusade, 250,000 cards were indeed printed, but only 2,500 were filled. Take into account I was there myself and would agree with this figure. I was dismayed when I heard it proclaimed on TV that the number was much higher. I thought it was just an error but it was on the website, somebody did not do their homework." Signed Gituma Nturibi from Nairobi Kenya
His Healing Crusades
Exposed on an HBO special report.
At a healing service in Nigeria, Bonnke claims to perform 78 miracles. However, the supernatural is offset with tragic results. The HBO report disclosed that at the outdoor crusade Bonnke "invokes the fear of witchcraft and evil spells while proclaiming the healing power of Jesus Christ. The frenzied crowd eventually goes out of control, and 15 people are crushed to death that evening as they try to leave the field." At a subsequent service, the parents of one who was killed at the crusade attempted to bring their child’s body to Bonnke in the hope he would raise her from the dead. The parents and dead child were intercepted and kept from the stage where Bonnke was performing.
(More of these sad encounters can be found further in the pages to follow concerning Reinhard Bonnke)
The program was written and directed by Antony Thomas and produced by Thomas and Carleen Ling An Hsu. Its impact will be greater than the similar special produced and aired on the CNN network in 1997. Harry Guetzlaff, of the Trinity Foundation, a televangelist watchdog group, said of the HBO documentary, "It is extremely powerful. It demonstrates just how evil these men really are."
